Creating a polymer chain in WebMO's QOOL system

I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask this, but I wanted to figure out how to model a polymer chain in WebMO's qool, and can't figure out how to. I attached a screenshot of the interface below. You can also build directly in 3d but there isn't any way to indicate a polymer chain that way. Screenshot 2025-04-07 222425.pngScreenshot 2025-04-07 223041.png

Hello @oscarwilde,
WebMO’s QOOL interface doesn’t currently support automatic polymer chain generation. To model a polymer, you’ll need to manually build repeating units in the 3D editor or use the fragment tool to duplicate monomers. Unfortunately, there’s no built-in polymerization function, so it’s a manual process for now.

Best Regards,
James Henry

Re: Creating a polymer chain in WebMO's QOOL system

To make a polymer chain in WebMO's QOOL, just build the monomers one by one and link them together. If needed, repeat the process to form the full chain.

Re: Creating a polymer chain in WebMO's QOOL system

Just build one monomer at a time in WebMO's QOOL and connect them. Repeat this to make the full chain. Super simple!

Thanks for sharing this! Building the chain step by step in QOOL makes it so much easier to manage.
